Step 1: Log in to Your WordPress Dashboard

1. Go to your WordPress login page. It is usually found at https://qvcricket.com/wp-admin/
2. Enter your username and password, then click the “Log In” button.

Step 2: Navigate to the Posts Section

1. Once logged in, you will be directed to the WordPress dashboard.
2. In the left-hand menu, hover over “Posts” and then click “Add New”.

Step 3: Add a Title and Content

1. Enter the title of your post in the “Add title” field.
2. Click in the main content area and start writing your post. You can format your text using the toolbar that appears.

Step 4: Add Images or Media (Optional)

1. To add an image or other media, click the “Add Media” button above the text editor.
2. In the media library, you can upload a new file or select an existing one.
3. Click the “Insert into post” button.

Step 5: Set Categories 

1. In the right-hand menu, you can assign categories and tags to your post to help organize your content.
2. Click on “Categories” to check the appropriate categories or add a new one.
3. Click on “Tags” to add relevant tags.

Step 6: Set a Featured Image

1. In the right-hand menu, click on “Featured image” to set a featured image for your post.
2. Click “Set featured image,” then choose an image from your media library or upload a new one.

A featured image in WordPress is a representative image for a post, page, or custom post type. It’s often displayed prominently alongside the title and excerpt on your blog’s home page, archives, and other areas where posts are listed. Featured images help to visually engage readers and provide a quick snapshot of the content.

Step 7: Publish Your Post

1. When you are ready to publish your post, click the “Publish” button in the right-hand menu.
2. You can also save your post as a draft if you want to come back to it later, or schedule it to be published at a future date and time.

Step 8: View Your Post

1. After publishing, you can view your post by clicking the “View Post” link that appears.
